A New York City taxi struck multiple people on the sidewalk in midtown Manhattan, injuring six people, with three of them in critical condition. Officials said the taxi collided with a bike rider at an intersection and then the driver appeared to turn into the bike lane and accelerate onto the sidewalk where the vehicle struck multiple people including two women who were pinned underneath. Bystanders then came together to lift the car in an effort to rescue the women, police said.
